WebSpider 2 Summary

WebSpider is a freeware website mirroring tool that automatically crawls the web based on user-defined settings and creates a local copy of a website.

It allows you to download an entire website — or selected parts of it — to your local computer. All relevant resources, including text, images, audio, video, and other content, are stored locally so that the website can be accessed offline without an active internet connection.

Starting from a given entry point, WebSpider downloads a web page, analyzes its content, and extracts all links to related pages. These pages are then processed in the same way, creating a complete or partial mirror of the website. The crawling process continues until defined limits are reached.

Users can control the scope of the crawl by defining constraints such as limiting the process to a specific domain or restricting the depth of link traversal. This allows efficient extraction of only the relevant parts of a website.

WebSpider features a simple and intuitive user interface, making it easy to create local website copies — even for non-technical users.
